Sheela M. Palma, MSN, RN-MNN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, CBC — Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
About Me
Twenty years at the bedside, now in your corner.
Before becoming a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I spent more than two decades as bedside nursing staff in the medical-surgical and OB/GYN department of a prestigious academic healthcare institution — caring directly for postpartum mothers and their newborns, including those with high-risk medical conditions such as opioid and polysubstance use disorders.
That work shaped how I practice today: with openness, without judgment, and with a genuine belief that people deserve care that sees their whole story.
As a Board-Certified PMHNP and graduate of The Ohio State University's psychiatric nurse practitioner program, I bring both clinical training and real-world experience to every session. My style is warm and unhurried — we'll take the time to understand your goals, your history, and your strengths before deciding on a plan together.
I'm licensed as an APRN/PMHNP in Ohio, Massachusetts, and Washington State. I also hold National Certification in Maternal & Newborn Nursing and am a Certified Breastfeeding Counselor. I see clients exclusively through secure telehealth.
